TNPSC Group 4 Results 2025 Expected Soon – Where & How To Check Scores

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is expected to announce the Group 4 examination results for 2025 soon. The exam, held on July 12, 2025, aimed to fill 3,935 vacancies across various state government departments, including positions such as Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant, and Typist.

This year’s Group 4 exam is widely regarded as one of the toughest in recent years, heightening anticipation among the 13.89 lakh candidates who applied, of which 11.48 lakh appeared for the test.

2. Click on the Group 4 Result 2025 link.

3. Enter your registration number and date of birth.

Exam Structure and Competition

The exam carried a total of 300 marks and was divided into three sections:

• Part A: Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test (100 questions)

• Part B: General Studies (75 questions)

• Part C: Aptitude and Mental Ability (25 questions)

Many candidates reported that more than half of the 100 Tamil questions were highly complex and beyond the expected syllabus, adding to the challenge. With around 287 candidates competing per post and a selection rate of just 0.35%, this year’s exam stands among the most competitive ever conducted by TNPSC.

Previous Results Timeline

Since 2013, TNPSC has conducted the Group 4 examination seven times. Excluding the 2023 exam, results for three editions were released within five months, while the other three were declared in just three months.

• 2023 Exam: Results delayed by over a year, sparking controversy.

• 2024 Exam: Results for 8,932 vacancies released promptly within three months.

This time, with the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections approaching, the Commission is expected to release results quickly to avoid undue stress on candidates and political complications.

TNPSC Chairman S.K. Prabhakar has previously emphasized that the Commission conducts exams with accountability and transparency, assuring that the Group 4 results will be declared within the stipulated timeframe.
